Someone Finally Took action….

Well here is a short snippet of what has happened in the last few years with my childrens school and other students there. Since mid- 2006 my oldest son has been beaten up,chased home, threatened with harm, had his bike stolen by one of those same students. As well as my two youngest children being beaten up, chased and threatened with harm. This is as you know early 2008 now, and just last week after I have called the school board, made complaints over the phone gone directly to the teachers and the principal of their school and made written complaints about the gym teacher making rude and uncalled for remarks in front of my oldest sons entire class. Written complaints about the treatment of my children ( my oldest son had bruises on his face that when told they said ” we didn’t see it so there is absolutely nothing we can do about it, unless we see another student harming him” HAH kids are smarter than that. They wait till the “authority figure” has their back turned! If more than one student makes the same report about the same child you would assume half the class isn’t lying right??But when telling the teachers or principal of what is going on and what the other kids are doing and saying to all three of them, being called by said teachers tattle tales and generally being ignored) I received a letter last week informing me that now there is a new policy at this specific school regarding ” safety” of all students HAH! That any student in the 5th and 6th grade classes that is ” witnessed” to have put their hands on another student in anyway ( and I mean in anyway, cant shake hands etc, didn’t need it to go that far!! but there ya have it) will be sent directly to ” in school suspension ( the office) and will stay there until the parents show up for a meeting with the students teacher and the principal to discuss the behavior of the student, with ways to resolve the issue after said meeting the student will be allowed to go back to their classroom. Okay so I am assuming that this is because my husband has yelled I have yelled and my children’s grandmother have yelled ( she calling the school board) that this is now in the policy and because there is now a big issue with my students school district ( another school ) not following up with terroristic threats made to another student through a text message and something happening. So What I want to know is this is what it takes to ensure the safety of my children? To call the actual school, make written reports with the principal ( complaints to the teachers involved) and calls to the school board to actually get something done? I think not! The ” teachers ” acted helpless, saying ” what would you like us to do about it?” wtfffffffff does that mean? I wanted them to stop the specific students from hurting, threatening and taunting my children is that too much to ask? We ( my husband and I ) told the principal that we would start allowing our children to defend themselves in any way necessary no matter where it was, ( bite kick punch trip etc..) to yell if they had to get someone to actually give a sh** what was going on around them, to force them to finally take some action. Because nothing else seemed to work! There is one specific ” aid ” who I cannot stand, she is completely rude to the students and anyone who does not agree with her point of view ( short tempered etc.) that is ineffective as an authority figure, who I believe does not need to be working with the students because of a lack of patience. Anyways what does everyone else think about the problems I am having??? I will stop ranting now lol

I am the Sharp King

When I first realized that I was alive it was very dark. I could not see anything and I could not hear anything either. I wasn’t sure if I had arms or legs; I didn’t know anything about myself. I knew I was awake, and I wondered if I was blind and deaf because that would explain why I couldn’t hear or see anything. I am not sure how long I stayed like that but it felt like a long time. Then all of a sudden my world began to tremble and a bright light appeared. Is there an Earthquake? Was that a light bulb I just seen? As all these questions tumbled through my mind as I was suddenly grabbed and hauled up into the light.

I do believe that some sort of giant hands picked me up. They felt like giant hands; I could not see them. I was scared and I closed my eyes, did I have eyes? I still wasn’t sure. I felt myself moving through thin air, I had no arms to be able to hold onto those giant hands that held me, so I prayed those hands didn’t let go. For some reason I sensed that if I fell, it was a long way down. I continued to move along through the air when I felt the giant hands fingers move their way under what I thought were probably my arms. The fingers grabbed me and held me firmly in place. It was a comfortable fit – like those fingers were meant to belong there.

The next thing you know, the fingers are putting pressure on the under side of what I was hoping were my arms and pushing outward. When my arms moved outward, my legs did too. I felt like I was being forced to do a jumping jack by these giant hands. Suddenly when it felt like I could move my arms out no further, the hands pushed them back and my legs snapped together making a quick sharp sound. Wow! What was that! I sensed I had just done something great, but I wasn’t sure what that was.

The giant hands pushed my arms out again. Oh here we go I thought. I guess it is exercise time. I prepared myself to do another jumping jack. One, two, three jumping jacks later and I saw a huge piece of paper coming towards me. The giant pointed my feet towards the paper and the paper tried to sneak up past my feet. As soon as it did the giant grabbed the paper with my knees and held it in place. The paper started crying, “nooo, please don’t slice me.” Slice me? What was the paper talking about? The giant ignored the papers pleas and put the pressure down on my arms again. When the giant did this, my legs closed and I heard the sharp sound, except it had the distinct sound of a paper being sliced added to it.

The paper went silent and I felt awful. What had I done? I felt myself being laid down on top of a hard surface. There was still the bright light, but I could see shadow movements coming from the giants hands. The giant was manipulating the still silent paper. I wasn’t sure why the paper was no longer crying, but I had a good idea. I started to get scared and worried that I had done something wrong. As if something had heard my thoughts, I was nudged on the side and I turned to see a tall bottle standing next to me. The bottle was tall and round, and had a pointed head that looked like it was able to twist off. There was a gooey white substance coming out of the top of the bottles head. The body of the bottle held a label, and it suddenly occurred to me that I could not read. The bottle looked down to me and said “don’t worry young lad, the paper is fine.” I sighed with relief. How did the bottle know the paper was fine? I asked him and surprisingly I could talk. He responded and said, “The giant is making something pretty with the paper, and you have helped to create something lovely.”

Well, that made everything all better for me and now I felt great. I started doing some jumping jacks out of pure excitement and the bottle asked me to settle down before I freaked out the giant. I settled down and waited to see what would become of the paper, sitting quietly next to the bottle. What am I?

I am the Squishy Bed King

When I first opened up my eyes it was so bright it hurt. I wondered, “Where did all this light come from?” It is funny to me because that was my very first thought. I giggled and knew I was going to be funny. I blinked and tried to sit up. It seemed this was the first time I noticed that I could not sit up. I was attached to some kind of squishy bedding. I began to panic, oh dear how do I get out of here. I started to worry and then blinking some more my vision started to come in and the brightness subsided. I could see my sister, standing right next to me and she too was attached to the squishy thing. I smiled and felt reassured and happy that I was not alone.

As my vision completely came into focus I soon realized that the whole family was with me on the squishy pad. It was a party! It was our welcome Party! Now I was happier than ever. I started swaying back and forth and calling to my cousin Jimmy who I could just make out behind what must have been at least twenty other relatives. Everybody was laughing and cheering and happy to be alive. Some were drinking and others were playing with their pets. The party looked like it had already started without me, but I was okay with that. I quickly joined in the fun and recall that we had several unexpected guests attend.

The first was a giant white fluffy bear like animal. It was shaved closely all over its body and that made it look soft like a teddy bear. I imagined it felt like a terry cloth towel, but I couldn’t be certain, and I was way to scared to reach out to try to touch it. The giant was clearly unstable. The giant had these puffy cotton ball like things attached to its head, the edge of its tail, and on its feet. With its big round eyeballs sticking out, it looked kind of scary. The thunderous Voices called the beast Jetta and it jingled every time it moved. I thought it was amazing the way the Jetta could jump miles up into the air and land with a roll, only to jump back up again and all the while jingling like it was Christmas and yapping like no tomorrow. I was certain that Uncle Ralph had hired this beast for the entertainment, but when Jetta started sniffing Aunt Thelma, and she almost fell off the bed – Everyone had a bit of a scare! We were not so entertained after that and it was at this time I realized Jetta was uninvited. However, we are nice folks and we tolerated the jumping and jingling and yapping, all the while worrying that someone was going to get hurt. Eventually, after not so long, the Voices beckoned to Jetta and he or she left (we never did find out if Jetta was a boy or a girl). Once Jetta the beast was gone and we ascertained that no one was damaged – the party rolled on and we were happy once again!

The next guests to join the fun were Ms. Penny and her twelve companions. She came rolling in like she owned our place! It has been my experience that Penny’s are like that. Always wanting to be the center of attention. Ms. Penny spent a good hour with Old Jack Stalkman and the buzz around the party was that she was about ready settle down. Those twelve companions of hers ate up pretty much everything they could lay their hungry little mouths on and really didn’t bother anyone there. I know my mom always appreciates when Ms. Penny leaves, but I wasn’t wishing for her leave today. She was very pretty with her red body and black dots. Very attractive indeed.

Only two giants came to try to crash the party. Every year its the same old thing. Everything is going great and a Giant has to come and stumble into our place and reek havoc. This year was no different except there were only two, and they only crushed Mrs. Hickory and her husband BillyJay. Both were hospitalized and we received word that they will be all right.

All in all the festivities were one of the best that I can remember. Day turned into night and night turned back into day. When you are having so much fun with family and friends you really lose track of time and that is what always happens with me. Before to long I realized that I was now an adult, and although I was still attached to the squishy bed with the rest of my family, my mother told me it would be time for me to move out soon.

It was shortly after she told me this, that I noticed I started losing my hair. Ah, I thought to myself, this is part of the transformation. My mother only smiled at me when I looked worried. Her head was already fully transformed into a beautiful halo hairdo of tiny seeds that reached towards the heaven and shone like the silk web of a spider. I knew I would look like her soon and although i was apprehensive about it, I was also excited.

Several more days turned into nights and finally when I awoke one bright sunny morning I looked around to find that my family had all moved along. The spot next to me where my sister had stood was empty. Momma was gone and so were Uncle Ralph and my cousin Jimmy, who spent hours upon hours laughing with me. I was saddened to see that I wasn’t moving anywhere and that I was still firmly stuck to the squishy bed. What do I do? I decided I would just wait to see what happened. I figured I really didn’t have much of a choice otherwise. Surely someone was coming back for me because they had just forgotten me as I slept. I waited.

As I waited, I heard the sounds of the Voices again. I began to worry. Why did my family leave me here to be sacrificed to the Voices? I could hear a young Giants voice getting nearer. It was a girls Voice and she came straight towards me! I cringed. I closed my eyes and tried to pretend I couldn’t see her. Maybe she would go away. She didn’t. Instead she grabbed me by my throat and tore my body from the squishy bed. I screamed, Ahh!! and then suddenly realized that it did not hurt at all. Interesting I thought and opened my eyes. I was staring into the Giant Voices face! Just as I was about to close my eyes again in sheer terror, she blew on me. The softest, sweetest breath of fresh air covered over me and I began to fly. I closed my eyes then and after a minute or so I peeked and I could see the Giant way way down on the ground below me. She was tiny and oh so small, surely that wasn’t a Giant. What was happening? I didn’t care. I was away from the Giant and I was flying. I felt free and never so happy. I flew along for what seemed like days and I soon began to separate. Pieces of my halo hairdo silently drifted away from me, and I knew I was having children. My mother had explained that this would all happen to me when I became an adult. I was not afraid at all.

I eventually came to land miles from where the Giant blew me to a spot beside a creek near an old oak tree. I knew immediately this was where I would make my new home. There was plenty of water, and I am a thirsty one! I settled into my new squishy bed. I buried myself deep into the warm dark earth and there I went to sleep until I would wake up again. What am I?
